This remaster is based on the 2012 PS VITA release of Fate/stay night Realta Nua and features the series’ first adaptation into languages like English and Simplified Chinese. In Fuyuki City, there’s this crazy ritual where seven magi, known as Masters, duke it out to claim the Holy Grail, which can grant any wish. These Master’s summon legendary Heroic Spirits, called Servants, to fight for them. Despite four intense Holy Grail Wars in the past, no one’s come out on top yet.
Ten years ago, during the Fourth Holy Grail War, Shirou Emiya was saved from the chaos by Kiritsugu Emiya, a self-proclaimed mage. After that, Shirou lived with Kiritsugu and begged him to teach him magecraft, even though Kiritsugu wasn’t too keen on the idea. Right before Kiritsugu died, Shirou made a promise to become a Hero of Justice.
Fast forward to now, and on a chill evening, Shirou finds himself caught up in the Holy Grail War and attacked by a Servant. Just when it looks like he’s toast, a girl in knightly armor swoops in to save him. She’s a Servant too and she’s here to help the future Hero of Justice.
