Minato Jinba, a uni student living it up in a city boarding house, gets a late-night call from his dad about his grandma, Kinu Miyama, being in bad shape. So, he’s off to Ichinose, this remote village deep in the mountains where his mom grew up. Minato’s not exactly thrilled about seeing his grandma after all these years—she skipped out on her own daughter’s funeral, which really pissed him off.
As he rides the bus through the countryside, Minato can’t shake this weird convo he had with his grandma once, about silkworms and stuff. It’s all getting under his skin, especially with the sky turning blood–red and the mountains looking downright ominous.
Once he reaches her place, things go from weird to straight-up terrifying. There’s some messed–up truth waiting for him there. And get this—it’s not just one ending to this story, there are four!
