Yo dude, Umbral is this wild first-person game that’s all about its own story blending horror, exploration, and puzzles. You play as Mateus, a young guy who’s super frustrated with life. After dealing with some serious personal issues he decides to end it all. But plot twist—his existence doesn’t stop there. Instead he ends up in this place called Umbral facing an even worse reality.
The games story draws from Kardecist Spiritism and Umbanda exploring what Mateus’s spirit encounters on the “other side” as he wonders why he didn’t actually die. He goes through a bunch of terrifying situations in this scary and hostile place, quickly realizing it’s even more brutal than the world he left behind. How do you even deal with something like this, All Mateus wanted was peace and a final rest, but he didn’t even get that. What’s gonna go down in this story, With a first person perspective the game focuses on narrative featuring horror elements like enemy chases and jump scares, along with exploration and puzzles.
